Building sustainable systems
Lyn Dixon

"The philosophy behind Permaculture is one of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation, rather than protracted and thoughtless action; of looking at systems in all their functions, rather than asking only one yield of them; and of allowing systems to demonstrate their own evolutions."
This is a quote from "Permaculture, A Designers Manual" written by Bill Mollison, co-founder, along with David Holmgren, of Permaculture.
I see strong parallels between the work of Bill Mollison and Monty Roberts. Both men offer positive, successful, alternatives to (often) destructive methods. Both men teach by example. Both men want to leave the world a better place (for horses, for people, for itself) and are disseminating their essential work to achieve that goal.
Read the quote again; try replacing the word "Permaculture" with the words "Monty Roberts' concepts", instead of "systems" read "horses".
I showed this quote and the suggested changes to Monty and he was positively intrigued. He read it twice and then asked for a copy.
